Can I get both central and Goa rooftop solar subsidies?
Yes. Eligible Goa homeowners can receive both central and state subsidies. The final amount depends on scheme approval.
How much could solar cut my bill, and when would it pay for itself?
Savings depend on your system size and electricity use. An indicative payback is 3–4 years, depending on the final cost and approved subsidy.
What size solar system does my home need?

Will I get paid for extra solar power?
Yes. Unused surplus units are settled after the financial year, and the amount is paid to your bank account at the applicable rate.
Will Niks handle my PM Surya Ghar and Goa subsidy application?
Yes. We handle the application, approvals, installation, meter connection and subsidy paperwork. You only need to share the required documents.
Will solar power my house during an electricity cut?
A standard grid-connected system normally shuts down when the grid is off for safety. To keep selected appliances running during a cut, you need a backup-capable inverter and battery designed for that purpose. We can discuss the loads you want to back up during the site survey.
Do panels work during Goa’s monsoon?
Yes. Panels still generate in daylight when skies are cloudy, but output is lower than on a clear sunny day. Annual estimates should allow for that seasonal change. The structure, roof fixings and electrical protection also need to suit heavy rain, wind and coastal conditions.
What if monkeys come onto my roof?
Quality solar panels are tested to withstand heavy mechanical loads. If monkeys visit your roof, we also plan protected wiring and secure mounting. No rooftop system can be promised to be completely monkey-proof.
